Freemasonry has never solicited members. It is a genuinely beautiful principle — no one is ever pressured into the Craft — and it is also the single biggest reason qualified men never join. They assume they'd have to be invited. They wouldn't. They just have to ask.

The Process
It typically takes six months to a year. There is no fast track, and that is deliberate.
Send us a message through this site, or come to a fellowship dinner before a stated meeting. You will meet several members, ask whatever you like, and leave with no obligation whatsoever.
Come back a few times. Bring your spouse to a social event. We want you to be certain, and we want to know you well enough to vouch for you.
A written petition signed by two members, submitted with the required fee. It is read aloud in open lodge and referred to an investigating committee.
Three members will visit you — usually at home, and usually with your family present. It is a conversation, not an interrogation. They want to know who you are and to make sure your family supports the commitment.
The lodge votes by secret ballot. The vote must be unanimous, which is why the steps above are not rushed.
Entered Apprentice, Fellowcraft, and Master Mason. Between each you'll learn proficiency work with a mentor. When you are raised a Master Mason, you become a full member with a voice and a vote.
Honest Answers
There is a one-time initiation fee covering the three degrees, and annual dues thereafter. Both are modest and published openly — ask us and we'll tell you the exact figures. No Mason has ever been dropped from this lodge because he hit a rough patch; talk to the Secretary and it gets handled quietly.
One stated meeting a month is the baseline expectation. Degree nights, practices, and social events are as involved as you want to be. Men with young children and demanding jobs are among our most valued members — we understand seasons of life.
You must profess a belief in a Supreme Being. Beyond that, Freemasonry never asks and never tells you what to believe. Christians, Jews, Muslims, Hindus and others sit together in our lodge as equals — sectarian religious debate is prohibited inside it.
Very much so. Spouses and children are welcome at dinners, picnics, and open events, and there are affiliated organizations for family members who want their own involvement. We ask that your family supports your petition before you submit it.
Some, yes — and a mentor will work through it with you at your pace. Most men find it far less daunting than they expected, and many say it became the part they valued most.
Then don't petition yet. Come to dinner, ask hard questions, and take your time. Nobody in this lodge will chase you, and the door stays open.
